In support of COVID-19 relief efforts in India, ELONGATE has donated $150,000 to Give India. The funds will provide patients with oxygen tanks, N-95 masks, PPE kits, hand sanitizer, vaccinations, and essential care at various locations such as COVID-19 centres and charitable hospitals. In addition, healthcare workers in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore will receive support as well.
The donation was made out to the AIR Foundation in partnership with Give India, an organization based in India formed in 2000 with the primary goal of alleviating poverty. Their platform enables individuals and organizations to raise and donate funds to any cause. The AIR Foundation was formed in response to the pandemic and has supported over 20 rural districts with COVID relief.
The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India has overwhelmed healthcare systems, leading to shortages of equipment necessary to treat patients and protect healthcare workers.
