The team at ELONGATE announced they had received a $20,000 donation from the BitBoy Crypto Team. Via the Pluto Alliance, BitBoy’s Team launched an exclusive StarShip NFT pack. With the proceeds of that launch, they generously contributed to Elongate’s #CryptoForCures Fund.
The incredible donation and support from the BitBoy Crypto Team brings Elongate and EB Research Partnership (EBRP) one step closer towards the goal of curing Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a family of life-threatening rare genetic diseases that affect the body’s largest organ: the skin. Hundreds of thousands of children worldwide suffer from EB, and there is currently no known cure.
In May 2021, EBRP announced a US$150,000 seed donation from Elongate to launch the #CryptoForCures Fund, establishing Elongate as the founding member. Aiming to raise US$1,000,000 in cryptocurrency donations by the end of 2021, EBRP funds competitive research projects that study groundbreaking technologies such as gene editing, exon skipping, and stem cell therapies to cure EB by 2030.
Elongate is a title sponsor of the Venture Into Cures event alongside Amazon AWS. This star-studded event, hosted by Tom Holland, will help raise awareness and funds for critical research to treat and cure EB. It will air on November 18th at 8:00 pm EST.
